Unforgettable
Meet Carrie Wells. She has hyperthymesia. A rare medical condition that allows her to remember everything. Dates, times, places, events, everything that has happened in her life. Including finding her sister Rachel dead when she was younger.
Carrie is an ex-police detective who now volunteers in care facility in Queens, New York. Her mother is a patient who is slowly forgetting even her own daughter having been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
When Carrie’s downstairs neighbour is murdered and she is a witness; memories and people from her past start to appear. The Detective in charge of the case, Al Burns, her ex-boyfriend and partner convinces her to come on board and consult on the case.
I really enjoyed this show. It has the same structure as an police procedural show with some interesting characters. I think what really hooked me was the main character, Carrie Wells, and her ability. I think its a facinating medical condition to use as an element in a show. She also has some baggage which always makes for some angst and determination for a lead character. Also I love Poppy so Ill definately keep watching. It has potential. Here’s hoping it makes the cut.
